There’s nothing quite like the rawness of winter giving way to summers ease. Admittedly, I’ve become quite acquainted to the colder months after giving birth to my girls, I’ve become uncomfortable with temps over 90°. However, being a june baby and a veteran beach girl, deep spring will always hold a special place in my heart. It’s a rebirth. A tabula rasa, a new chance.

Clothing and my moods are deeply intertwined. I reach for cozy sweaters for comfort, bright heels when getting ready for a girls dinner, a deep red lip and skincare for date night. Or maybe vice-versa.

Once the last of the frost-over mornings give way to the sun, a collective change happens within all of us; happier overall certainly, and the overwhelming need to be outside and spend time in the brand new air. With the change of the season comes in another form: getting dressed. Most of us reach for things that provide us ease and comfort, in addition to wearing the pieces we were most looking forward to all winter.

Here are my picks for the 2024 deep spring edit.

1 – Veronica Beard Finlee Beaded suede sandal in green palm
2 – Rafe New York Sofia Octagon clutch in pink
3 – Alexis Bittar small molten bangle & dream rain earrings
4 – Tom Ford lip balm in ‘sunlit rose’
5 – Gloss Moderne Clean Luxury roll on perfume oil in ‘universelle’

Veronica Beard Finlee Beaded suede sandal in green palm. An absolutely gorgeous sandal and one that can be worn all day due to the low heel. The summer olive tone gives an outfit the perfect pop of interest, and the beaded portion catches the sun in the most beautiful way. I make sure to protect them from rain because they’re suede, and after a few seasons they’ve already stood up to their quality. I plan on going strawberry picking in these soon.

Rafe New York Sofia Octagon clutch in pink. For me, finding a piece like this feels like finding treasure. Not only is the bag absolutely stunning with pink ombre straw woven together creating such beautiful detailing, you can see the designer cares about where his materials are sourced and what kind of footprint his company is leaving behind. I look forward to owning more of his pieces in the future.

Alexis Bittar Small Molten bangle. This piece was on my wish list for a while being that it’s wearable art. I prefer to style it alone as it adds a lot of interest to an outfit with its unique shape. Crafted in 14k gold plated brass, it’s a simple add to any summer outfit that will stand the test of time.

Alexis Bittar Dream Rain earrings. Crafted from 14k plated brass & lucite are the most gorgeous & wearable earrings. I love Alexis’ story of how he came into his craft, based out of passion for jewelry design and crafting some of his first pieces from lucite at 22 in his nyc apartment. His pieces speak to me with reconnecting the fashion world and art together, especially in these sculptural examples. I find myself often in awe of his work.

Tom Ford ‘Sunlit Rose’ lip balm. Stunning, sheer, hydrating, and just a hint of sparkle. Absolutely perfect for your post-beach day dinner & drinks.

Gloss Moderne Clean Luxury roll on perfume oil in ‘universelle’. I adore anything tiny and mess free, and perfume oil holds a special place in my heart. Especially during the hotter parts of the day, this perfume is amazing for a quick refresh. Created with an alcohol free formula, the fragrance notes from their website are listed as so:

TOP: mandarin orange, sea salt, bergamot
HEART: iris, rose petals, aquatic floral, dewy fruits
BASE: woody, cardamom, oakmoss, amber, musks

I plan on living in sea salt + orange fragrances all summer, the more like an aperol spritz the better.
